About Rewire
Rewire is a dopamine detox app built from behavioral neuroscience research, not streak-counter instinct. It is designed, engineered and written by one person, Monish Meher.

Why Rewire exists
Monish noticed that the same instant-gratification loops he kept designing as a product engineer were the ones eating his own life: phone scrolling, late nights, restrict-binge eating cycles, the small daily compromises that quietly compound.
The mainstream “habit tracker” category did almost nothing to help. Checking a box once a day is not how the brain actually rewires. So he started reading the underlying research, and the more he read, the clearer it became that the gap was not knowledge. The gap was translation. The science was sitting in academic journals while people downloaded apps that gamified streaks without touching the neurochemistry underneath.
Build software that works with human neurochemistry instead of against it.
Rewire is the bridge. Every feature is built from a paper or a clinical protocol, not a designer’s intuition about what looks fun.

How it shows up in the app
A Dopamine Score, not a vanity number
A quantified daily measure built from the habits and urges you log, so progress is something you can see and test.
Interventions that show their sources
Each micro-intervention is interactive and timed, and ships with a “What’s the Science?” panel naming the technique and the research behind it.
Built for the long middle
Detox Challenges survive a slip and the daily streak counts showing up, because the hard part of habit change is the weeks after the novelty fades.
The person behind Rewire
Monish is a solo founder and behavioral product engineer based in Nuremberg, Germany. He operates under his sole proprietorship, Meher Technologies, and describes his work as being a Behavioral Architect: someone who turns behavioral science into software.
He is the sole designer, engineer, researcher and writer behind every part of Rewire, from the SwiftUI codebase to the Dopamine Score algorithm to the cited research behind each micro-intervention.
He also builds Redirect, a Chrome extension that sends distracting websites to your goals and makes every break cost a little effort. It is Rewire’s desktop sibling: the same idea of working with your habits instead of fighting them, applied to the browser.
Background
Mostly as the first engineer on new products, and almost entirely outside the conventional path.
AiVANTA, Founding Engineer, AI Systems
Navi Mumbai, India
Built the first prototype of the AI video generation platform that helped AiVANTA reach $500k+ ARR, with the OpenAI API, LangChain, ElevenLabs and HeyGen powering multimodal AI avatar pipelines.
runITsimple, AI Systems Architect and Product Engineer
Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Architected and deployed RAI, an enterprise AI core that attaches to a company’s data, mediates between customers and employees, and runs automations on a self-designed no-code workflow system, across AWS EC2 and Lambda.
Gradworx, Founding Engineer
London, United Kingdom
Built the Gradworx.io graduate hiring platform from scratch, including its AI Resume Review on Gemini Flash.
Source Catalyst (SourceVerse LLP), Co-founder and CTO
India
Built the mobile platform and automated systems that helped over 10,000 Indian students learn real-world coding, get mentored and find placements.
Before any of that, he studied Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues Institute of Technology in Mumbai, then moved to Germany for an MSc in Autonomy Technologies at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. He left the program to build full time once the work outside school was moving faster than the work inside it.
